Job Description

A highly experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of an Enterprise Key Management System (EKMS) and oversee the final stages of a CLM/CLA cryptography project. This role requires strong technical project management expertise, stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to drive complex security initiatives to successful completion within defined timelines.

Main Responsibilities: 
  • Project Delivery
    • Lead the end-to-end delivery of the Enterprise Key Management System, ensuring alignment with enterprise security standards and compliance requirements.
    • Manage the tail end of the CLM/CLA cryptography project, ensuring smooth transition, closure, and handover to operational teams.
    • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
    • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and risk registers.
  • Stakeholder Management
    • Engage with senior stakeholders across IT, Security, and Business units to ensure project alignment with strategic objectives.
    • Provide clear communication of project status, risks, and dependencies to executive sponsors and technical teams.
  • Governance & Compliance
    • Ensure adherence to enterprise governance frameworks, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices in cryptography and key management.
    • Oversee project documentation, audit readiness, and compliance reporting.
  • Team Leadership
    • Coordinate cross-functional teams including cryptography specialists, security engineers, and business analysts.
    • Mentor junior project managers or coordinators where applicable.


Minimum 'Qualifications:
  • Matric
  • Degree or diploma in Project Management
  • 5 years Experience in Cyber Security or related roles.
  • CompTIA Security+ (advantageous)
  • Intermediate knowledge of networks technologies (protocols, design concepts, access control)
  • Intermediate knowledge of various security technologies (antivirus, data security, system hardening, firewalls, web gateway, endpoint protection, vulnerability management, network infrastructure, etc.)

Additional Qualifications: 
  • ITIL Certification
  • CompTIA Penetration Tester+ (PenTest+) Certification (Advantageous)
  • Offensive Security Certified Professional – OSCP (Advantageous)

Competencies Required:
  • Essential Skills & Experience
    • Proven track record of delivering large-scale enterprise security or cryptography-related projects.
    • Strong understanding of Enterprise Key Management Systems and cryptographic lifecycle management.
    • Experience managing complex technical projects with multiple stakeholders and dependencies.
    • Excellent knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, PRINCE2, PMI, or equivalent).
    • Strong risk management, issue resolution, and governance skills.
    • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Desirable Skills
    • Familiarity with enterprise IT security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, PCI DSS).
    • Experience in regulated industries (finance, telecoms, government).
    • Technical background in cryptography, PKI, or cybersecurity.
    • Vendor management and contract negotiation experience.
