Job Description

A Cryptography Security Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing cryptographic solutions to secure data and communications. This role involves ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and authenticity of information processed by various systems.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Design and Development: Create and implement secure cryptographic solutions and algorithms.
  • Research and Innovation: Stay updated with the latest advancements in cryptography and security technologies.
  • Security Architecture: Develop and maintain security architectures, algorithms, and protocols.
  • Incident Response: Provide support for security incidents and develop effective solutions.
  • Collaboration: Work with other teams to ensure overall comprehensive security across all IT systems and platforms.
  • Education and Advising: Educate internal teams on cryptography best practices.
  • Documentation: Document all cryptographic protocols and security measures.
  • System Analysis: Regularly analyze systems, create reports, develop unique testing tools, and make necessary improvements
  • Conformance to best practice: Leverages industry best practices in security to assist with threat hunting
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Matric
  • Degree or diploma in Computer Technology
  • CompTIA Security+
  • 5 year Experience in endpoint or related roles.
  • CISA
  • CompTIA Security+
  • Intermediate knowledge of networks technologies (protocols, design concepts, access control)
  • Intermediate knowledge of various security technologies (antivirus, data security, system hardening, firewalls, web gateway, endpoint protection, vulnerability management, network infrastructure, etc.)

Additional qualifications/Experience:

  • ITIL Certification
  • CompTIA Penetration Tester+ (PenTest+) Certification (Advantageous)
  • Offensive Security Certified Professional – OSCP (Advantageous)
