Key focus of the role:
The Digital Content Creator will develop web and mobile presence through digital content that aligns with the strategies, products, and segments of my client. This is a hands-on role that requires strong digital multimedia design, illustration and copywriting expertise. The ability to work within a multidisciplinary agile team that delivers content that targets our primary audiences is the key to success in this position.
The perfect candidate will keep an eye on any changes to the media landscape that will influence concepts and make projects innovative and fresh. A professional outlook is also required to handle any copy amendments requested by team and digital content head, and meticulous research skills will ensure all copy is accurate and factual. They will need to create grabbing ideas for designs, infographics, animations, themes and topics, and expertly craft their content ideas coherent consumer experiences.
Throughout the process, content creators work closely with content writers, business analysts, PO’s, content manager, and business units to unpack new content ideas. Drive the content aspect of consumer and market research and discover what kinds of content their consumers want to see. Work closely with the UX team and/or user journey managers to create unique and exciting validated user experiences and the content in support of it.
Role Description & Key Result Areas:
Scope of the role
- Collaborate with the group marketing, various agile streams content manager and content writers in the conceptual development of original content for web and mobile
- Create compelling and original content for designs for web, mobile, WhatsApp and emailer (Including but not limited to GIFs, illustrations, animations, teasers, and videos)
- Create animation/motion graphics content for video content for all digital channels
- Have the know how to participate in inhouse shoot productions when necessary
- Provide scripts for interviews
- Create engaging content for template designs for on site/page story telling
- Researching industry-related topics (combining online sources, interviews and studies).
- Generating ideas for new content types and identify customers’ needs and gaps in our content and recommend new topics.
- Analyse content engagement and lead metrics and makes changes as needed.
- Collaborate with other disciplines and streams to create innovative content ideas.
- In coordination with the design team, ensure articles are added to the website and any other digital area with appropriate and necessary graphics.
Qualifications and experience:
Role Requirements
- Relevant degree or diploma in journalism or creative writing.
- Five to ten years' digital content creation or multimedia design experience with a record of achieving results.
- A proven track record of having worked in an agile environment
- Strong visual sense and aesthetic focus, with an understanding of photo and videography principles for mobile-first content that drives engagement and builds audiences
- A well-rounded portfolio that showcases an on-brand aesthetic that lends well to a range of audiences
- Understanding of storytelling and what makes an engaging story
- Fluency in Adobe CC Programs (Illustrator, Photoshop)
- Ability to work at speed in a fast turnaround environment, without sacrificing quality of content
- Ability to be flexible
- Experience with media and digital ad production platforms
- You need to be on trend with all global content best practices / Internet Savvy/ affair with popular culture.
